Lovell launches maintenance business following BMS acquisition
Morgan Sindall’s affordable housing and regeneration business Lovell has launched a new housing maintenance business – Lovell Respond – following its acquisition of repairs and maintenance company BMS Property Care Ltd.
Lovell has acquired BMS from affordable and supported housing provider Bromford Group.
The deal will see the creation by Lovell of a high quality housing repair and maintenance service complementing the company’s well-established expertise in housing refurbishment work and new-build social housing.
Lovell Respond will be rolled out to run alongside the company’s regional operations across the UK where it has seven regional offices specialising in housing regeneration. Lovell refurbishes 20,000 homes for local authorities and housing associations annually. The company also specialises in new-build housing, building some 2,000 affordable homes every year in partnership with social landlords.
BMS has leading expertise in housing maintenance and repairs since it was founded in 2002 as part of Bromford Group. With offices in Wolverhampton and Birmingham, the firm specialises in providing high quality day-to-day reactive and planned maintenance services, as well as gas service maintenance contracts. The company benefits from an in-house electrical division and state-of-the-art IT and management systems. Key clients include Midland Heart, The Riverside Group and Bromford Group.
“Bringing on board the leading repairs and maintenance expertise of Lovell Respond will enable Lovell to offer our social housing clients and partners a high-quality ‘one-stop shop’ providing the full range of housing refurbishment, repair and maintenance services,” says Lovell managing director Stewart Davenport.
