Morgan Sindall’s infrastructure services business Morgan Est has been retained as a capital delivery partner by Dwr Cymru Welsh Water for its latest Asset Management Period (AMP5). Work on the programme will commence on 1 April 2010.

The five-year framework will involve design and build works for both clean and wastewater programmes throughout South Wales. The works follow on from the AMP4 programme, where Morgan Est successfully delivered a £130 million wastewater capital programme in South East Wales. Morgan Est is currently delivering Welsh Water’s Advanced Digestion programme valued at £75 million.

“This is a very important win for our infrastructure services division,” says Paul Smith, chief executive of Morgan Sindall plc. “We are delighted to have been retained as a partner by Welsh Water for the next asset management period. It builds on a strong relationship developed through the last three asset management periods. Morgan Est’s experience and ability makes us one of the country’s leading water and infrastructure specialists.”
