Morgan Sindall’s construction business Morgan Ashurst has secured a £10.6 million scheme to build new student accommodation for the University of Worcester.

As part of the project, the company will construct a state-of-the-art, 182-bedroom student halls at the University’s St John’s Campus. Around 50 per cent larger than the size of standard student residences, each room will be built using modular precast concrete frames and bathroom pods, which will be created offsite using time-saving modular construction techniques.

The new facilities are due to be completed in summer 2009.
